Toward the end of the movie MBaku says he wants to challenge for the throne. But should not Shuri be considered the Queen at least until she is challenged and defeated?

It was a gag of sorts.
It was supposed to be Shuri's ceremonial coronation, but she sent M'Baku in her place
M'Baku issued "the challenge" knowing full well there was no one for him to actually challenge
After standing with Wakanda against Thanos AND protecting Wakandans from Namor, he's already earned Wakanda's gratitude and loyalty
So it went from a ceremonial coronation of Shuri to a ceremonial installation of M'Baku as Wakanda's ruler
It fits with the big brother vibe he'd had with Shuri throughout this film -- now he'll be her king and she'll be his chief warrior, just her brother was to their father
Can't wait for Killmonger 2 to take the throne in 10 years.
