I liked it, but how vague do you need to be
The story was incomplete with too many unanswered questions. It tried to be too symbolic. For fuck's sake, just tell the story. If for not knowing the actual fairy tale, I think most people would be somewhat lost. It was a very visual movie, tho. I liked the "slow horror" of it. I am glad I waited to see it for free.
Alice Krige is a bad-ass.
