Its a very well made movie, really enjoyed it, different kind of story compared to most CBMs. Prefer the avengers , MCU is getting rather crowded, but this is a decent effort, suprised the critic score is so low , solid 7 out of 10.

It was ok. I enjoyed it enough for it not to be a waste of time, but i do agree with you on the direction/approach they took instead of the one they should've taken
shareWell Marvel has been mixing up the moods of their superhero movies, from the dark earnestness of "Captain America: Winter Soldier" to the hilarious weirdness of "Thor: Ragnarok", and everything in between. So I guess they thought it was time for a return to the serious end of the superhero spectrum, and I suppose that suited the source material. The main characters are very old and very lonely, non-humans stuck on Earth and mostly estranged from each other, it's not like they'd be in a mood to crack jokes.
Still, the movie did need something to lighten up the glumness, something weird or absurd happening, something that would startle characters who think they've seen it all and amuse the audience.
I think it is rated to high... there is no reason for this film to be 2 and a half hours long...
shareAgreed, i was surprised at the low rating. It's not the best movie but it was decent and honestly the powers of Gilgamesh, Thena, and Phastos were really cool and fun to watch.
shareAgree, deserves a 7-7.5 easy. Thought it would be crap after seeing the low ratings and reviews, but it was decent and I liked it better than Shang Chi, as well as a couple of other Marvel flicks.
shareMovie isn't horrible. BUT I don't like the agenda they tried to push. Aliens being homo and aliens becoming human. Can't humans have our own thing and it be good enough without needing to make everything/everyone human

share7/10 for me as well. Some people didn't like it's length but I wasn't aware of it. Some people came prepared to discern and dislike a 'woke' agenda and I wasn't aware of that either. I just enjoyed the cast and the deep history and I thought it was a good foundation for a whole new branch, doubtless to be intertwined, with the MCU we already know.
