You Can't be Upset by the Circle of Life

This movie is like hating a lion for killing gazelles. Lions are a vital part of keeping the ecosystem in balance. For every planet sacrificed, many more are formed and ultimately more life can be supported. There are numerous case studies where killing off apex predators results in prey overrunning resources and ultimately the collapse of the entire ecosystem.

This is not about good or evil, it is simply a question of balance. I don't get why people insist on framing this as good vs. evil, rather than understand what Ikaris and Kingo are saying.

I can definitely get that. Many things end up being shades of gray vs. black or white. But it was still their choice to break the eternal cycle. And the Indian valet did have a point when he said he'd prefer not to die, being human and all. If this very same thing were to happen right now, I'm sure some would accept their fate, but others would NOT want this sort of thing decided for them (even though they wouldn't be able to do anything about it)
