Pretty simple movie. A bunch of distinctly different characters with distinctly different power skill sets run around and fight some typical modern movie beasts. Nothing was very complicated, huge exposition dumps kept you up to speed. Found all the characters likable and uninteresting. No thinking required. Kinda felt like watching other people play a video game. What can I say, sometimes a movie like this is just what you're in the mood for.

shareI get that you're being sarcastic, but the way people on this message board are bitching and whining about this movie I honestly expected the same level of awful as Green Lantern or Fantastic Four (2015). I expected it to be the worst MCU movie. But in reality Eternals is far better than The Incredible Hulk, the first two Thor movies, Ant-Man & The Wasp and Captain Marvel. Other than the attempts at humor, which did not work (wtf were they thinking with the giraffe joke???), I actually found this movie pretty entertaining.
shareDamocci, I concur. Eternals is easily the best of the Marvel films of 2021. Far better than Shangchi or the childish Spiderman film, or Black Widow. Forget about Venom 2, which isn’t Disney, but still.
Eternals has a somewhat epic feel and felt more like a character film than a mindless action film. It’s flawed but I’d actually rank it among the better MCU films. Of course, it helps that the lead actress, Gemma Chan, is very attractive, can actually act, and doesn’t come across as snobbish in the film (Captain Marvel, cough cough).
