I still enjoyed it, but this and Shang Chi both indicate that Marvel movies are leaning more heavily toward cartoony CGI-fests, with less human interest. They've forgotten what most of the previous MCU films accomplished more effectively. Even the first Avengers movie had some much needed heart, and is a good example of how an assemble movie should unfold. But the magic is definitely fading. It's like they're starting to just phone it in now that an audience has been built. Having said that, I actually liked Eternals a bit better than Shang Chi, which I didn't expect. Although that might have been because it allowed me to examine Gemma Chan for two and a half hours.
