BO Pro: $165m – $215m domestic

$30m more than Ghostbusters: Afterlife. I think they'll be closer.

i am leaning towards it coming in at the low end of their projections - around $160m domestic. i think the long running time and wan reviews are gonna dampen response here.

I think Ghostbusters will be much better received by fans and have better BO.

‘Eternals’ Eyeing $75M Opening Weekend; Ranks As Fandango’s 2nd Best Preseller Of The Year

The domestic box office is in store for a resurge again with Disney/Marvel’s deep universe IP Eternals this weekend. The movie is heading toward a $75 million opening frame in 4,000 locations, with previews beginning Thursday at 6 p.m.

Fandango is reporting that the Chloé Zhao-directed feature is now the second best preseller among this year’s blockbusters per advance ticket sales. Eternals is pacing ahead of Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which previously held the position, and behind only Marvel’s Black Widow.

‘Eternals’ Zaps Up Second Best Opening Day In Korea During Pandemic; MCU Movie Eyes $150M Worldwide Opening
https://deadline.com/2021/11/eternals-worldwide-opening-box-office-korea-opening-day-1234867276/

Disney/Marvel’s Eternals, which is set to keep the fall box office rally going, is looking at a global opening of $150 million, a number that’s poised to best the $128M worldwide start of Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings back in early September, and emulate the $150M filed by Black Widow, which had a Disney+ Premiere day-and-date component in select markets including the U.S.

While we’ll know more as markets get going this week, Shang-Chi’s offshore debut is the first one that could be beat. Its top overseas play was the UK, followed by Korea. Marvel also excels in the European majors, as it does in Korea.

I don't care to see it. Looks terrible.

The OW projections were close: $71m + $91m = $162m. Should still end up with $180m domestic.
