Eternals TANKS on Rotten Tomatoes?! Critics Think It's BORING as F*ck

The movie is just a collection of diversity hires filling checkboxes and presenting the most politically correct cast in a marvel movie. And still... critics don't praise it??? How bad it has to be so that they downvote this movie...

And that would explain why next Disney movies have been delayed. Smart move: if the previous movie in a franchise is bad, the next one is more likely to tank. They're probably trying to separate next releases from this one, so they won't be affected (too much).

It looks like Baywatch but with superheroes and Angelina Jolie's skeleton.

Shills slept in or something?

dropping fast

Tell me, how is “downvote,”’which is not a real word, better than “vote down,” which are two actual words?

Really, I want to know why you’ve no respect for language. Yes, I’m calling you out.

reply

Do you "load down" files from the Internet too?

reply

Another right wing rant against diversity, zzzz

reply

Aww, the Marvel 'tard is a little touchy.

Why are people pretending like 60-70% is a bad score? That's way above average by all means of logic.

reply

I think you don't really understand what 'average' means. Average doesn't mean '50%' or '5.0' or anything of the sort.

Hollywood mainstream movies use to score in a range going from 70% to 90% in RT or MC, or from 7.0 to 9.0 in iMDB. I don't care if that happens because of farmbots or because Hollywood owns those sites and the score is rigged. Whatever the cause, it is what it is.

These movies, the average is somewhere between 75% and 80%. So yeah, a 60-70% score is way below average.

reply

Disney scores higher than most other studios cause access media wants passes to premieres of marvel and star wars

reply

50-55% - Subpar
55-60% - Mediocre
60-65% - Average
65-70% - Above Average
70-75% - Good
75-80% - Great
80-85% - Outstanding
85-90% - Phenomenal

reply

looks 90-100% accurate to me ...

reply

Agreed up to a point. It depends. You scale seems accurate for old movies. I've discovered that 6 to 7, it's watchable. 7 to 8, it's good, and above 8 it's a must see.

Modern movies seem to be boosted, though. When I check a recent movie/show score, I detract 1 point for movies, and 1.5 points for shows. If the movie scores 7.9, for example, I consider it as a 6.9. This applies only to productions from Hollywood (or similar mainstream companies as the BBC). Low budget productions usually are underscored, and as a general rule, anything above a 5 is worth a watch.

reply

On the internet it's more like

0-70% - Terrible
70-80% - Okay
80-90% - Good
90-100% Great

reply

But I thought Disney paid critics for good reviews? 🤣

reply

WHO said that there are no good reviews???

Maybe disney run out of money to pay ALL critics :D

Or maybe the critics realized that there is no chance a good review would fly with this one...
