The medications are all wrong

She told Benoit she gave him 100 mg of Toradol and 3mg of Morphine. If you look at the bottles, the Toradol is 30mg/ml and Morphine is 5mg/ml. If she did it correctly that means roughly 3.5 cc of Toradol. But if she actually drew up 3.5 cc of Morphine that would only have been about 20mg of Morphine, NOT 100mg!!! 100mg of Morphine would mean 20 cc, and the syringe looked to be either a 3cc or 5cc syringe. So he wouldn't have overdosed on the Morphine. He'd still feel a rush, because giving an 85 y/o that much Morphine in one push would probably make him pass out, but likely not stop his breathing. He would also feel it within a minute, too, since she gave it to him IV. Also, I've never heard of someone getting 100mg of Toradol. Usually 30mg is the highest amount given, because it can affect the kidneys.

So, she normally would be overdosing him on the Toradol if she always gave 100mg. She was a bad nurse.

Also, Fran was injected with Morphine as an overdose, but she would have been dead very quickly. None of this waiting around for two hours when Marta saw her and then drop dead. This was lousy writing and it would have been nice if they consulted a medical professional when writing the script.
