I can always count on people to hop online in various discussion forums when a mystery film or show is released, and brag that they figured out the mystery way before the end. It cracks me up. Maybe that fills some need in their personalities.
I'm just not that smart, so I immerse myself in the performances and the productions. And this one was loads of fun.
This isn't even really joking but you can pretty much work it out from the cast list and the trailer letting you know Daniel Craig is playing the sleuth alone...
shareOh, I LOVE hearing when they figured it out because it provides insight into the strengths/weaknesses of the storytelling. I figured out the bottles had been switched during the laundromat scene with Fran. But "Hugh did it" went right over my head. And I've seen the episode of FOYLE'S WAR when they used the same plot device, dang it!

In fact, I do feel that when no one can figure it out, it almost always means the author hasn't played fair with the audience.
