Extraction was criticized by several outlets for having perceived "white savior" elements.[16][17] Variety called the film "a white-savior version of Man on Fire," while Screen Rant said that the film's "regressive white savior elements" drag it down. In an overall positive review, Scott Mendelson of Forbes wrote: "Look, let's get this out of the way. Yes, director Sam Hargrave and writer Joe Russo's Extraction... is an arguably 'problematic' white savior flick".[18]

It's a popular thing now. Plenty of this PC approved hate in the public space of entertainment, news, education, and government. I'm not gonna name names but if your PC has something called ummmm Google or Bing, you can find them. Don't be lazy like me.

Not only that but Man on Fire is a remake of a 1980’s movie in which Creasy was a white guy played by Scott Glenn. And it was later remade in India with the hero-savior played by an Indian actor in a movie called A Man Apart. In that version, the hero rescues the little girl who lives with her Indian family who are expatriates in Thailand. The corrupt malefactors are Thai conspirators including characters named Chang and Wong. You won’t find any of the critics applying the “problematic” or “person of color savior” labels to either of these versions. Ironically, the woke analytical framework of modern movie critics is shamelessly discriminatory in application

I just feel sorry for the people that think this way and feel the need to write articles about it. Just wonder how miserable their little lives are. It's a wonder they're lasted this long and haven't opened up their arteries whilst having a bath.

Another viewpoint is that all those brown people used a white man to rescue a little boy and then threw him(white man) away.

My theory is just as good as the silly white savior BS.
