Man, that was one hell of an action scene

The chase in the car to the apartment and then onto the street and then into a truck... almost exhausting. Really well done, long shots right in the action with the characters, twists behind every corner. Golf clap for sure.

Agreed! I like how the camera kept moving into the car and then out of it all without edits in one continuous shot (there was one point where you could tell the camera was being handed through the window of the backseat, but man, the choreography to pull that off!)

reply

Yup it was amazingly well done

I picked up my PS4 controller and pretended I was driving the car GTA style.

reply

LOL good one!

reply

Haha it did seem like a video game. I love how they filmed this.

yes it was great. Reminded me of Cuaron's car action scene in "Children of Men". Same premise but with more people stuffed into a tiny car and long takes cut to look as one shot all from inside the vehicle.

reply

I was shocked how good that was. It felt like John Wick but not cartoony. The editing was barely noticeable.

reply

Yea I was thinking it was quite an accomplishment myself. I watched the making of the war movie of which I forget the name but they did it with trickery of camera to make it seem like some scenes were one shot when it wasn't really. I dunno if this was case but it was dam incredible!

reply

agreed. Camera going from outside to inside car was great. Some of those shots that seem continuous were cut. There was another scene where the camera followed something dropping to the ground; similar amazing effect. This action aspect of the movie is perhaps the redeeming factor of the movie (when we have the typical hero that is somehow bullet-proof).

One of the two best car chase scenes ever filmed. The other was in The Blues Brothers.
