A bit confusing
I saw this last night and found it a bit confusing, which made it hard to feel involved. So there are two popes (one in Rome, one in France) claiming to be the real deal. But we never see or meet either of them. And for some reason supporters of the Pope in exile now DON'T want that Pope to ever get crowned emperor.
Then there are two brothers in Bohemia (where the story takes place), and one is King of Bohemia, but his brother is undermining him, presumably to become King himself. A girl (daughter of the king of France?) is engaged to Rosenberg. But what is he and why is he important? Michael Caine's character Lord Boresh has his band of mercenaries that protect him kidnap Rosenberg's fiance' Katharine. But what is the purpose of this exactly?
I don't typically have a problem following stories with lots of characters, but somehow I didn't quite understand everyone's motivation here.
Is there a good synopsis of the characters anyone can point me too?
