shareAren't the geeks afraid that people will be laughing at them behind their backs because they are obsessing over a show that has been widely despised as among the worst projects in the history of the Star Trek franchise?
shareThat is your opinion. I have mixed opinions on Picard and Discovery. Several authors of Star Trek tie in books (and I mean books published before either Discovery or Picard) like them overall (while critiquing them as needed.) There are parts of both that are very much classic Star Trek. Others are logical changes based on current tastes and techniques. And there are others which do not make a lot of sense and I find somewhat offensive.
Just like any other bit of fiction.
