F-bombs
Aren't they dropping the f-bomb a little too often for a Star Trek show? Just curious.

shareThe idiots who wrote this think that, now that they're on a streaming service people have to pay for, they don't have to follow all the rules TV originally put on previous "Star Trek" shows, and so, they pretty much put in everything that mainstream TV would not allow.
shareThat high ranking old lady sure loved f-bombs ;)
shareIt's considered trendy. All the higher lifeforms display their superior intellect in this fashion.
shareSadly true these days. Crime films? Let the F-bombs fly! They certainly belong there. But Star Trek has supposedly evolved past that, for the most part. And even if you don"t buy that (and I can see why one might not), it's not the Star Trek sensibility. Previous series had no problem with characters expressing themselves in anger or outrage or hatred without the swearing. It strikes me as pandering in this case, as well as being a shortcut to avoid the hard work of writing better dialogue.
shareI swear but just once in Picard is too much. I believe I counted five and it's jarring and seems forced every time I heard it.
F-bombs do not belong in Star Trek!
Nobody swears in the 24th century. They don't poop either. Roddenberry can see the future!
shareF-bombs in Picard ? My word, this world has turned to garbage too many times now. Haven't watched the show yet, by the way.
shareTrek is a family show, therefore it has to be dragged down in the gutter to appeal to low lifes.
