Data's back?
Any guesses as to how they are bringing Data back?
shareDreams, flashbacks, or holodeck. They have B4, maybe they reassemble him
shareLooks like Brent Spiner's not talking:

I'm guessing it's probably going to be 4. Data did upload his memories into him before his death.
Yeah, he's embarrassed by this WOKE mess.
Since Data is an android who does not age, they will have to do some computer magic to make Spiner look approximately the same as he did twenty-six years ago. Just putting a thick coating of pale pancake makeup on his face won't do it.
shareYour concern was addressed at the end of Star Trek: Nemesis. The original Data is dead just like the original Spock, dead.
shareOkay, so if we accept that this is a different Data, why was he made to appear old, rather than young like the original Data? Is it intentional, to simulate the aging of a human?
shareHmmm, I hope they give good reasons. It's getting harder and harder to find producers, directors, etc. that care about continuity and explanations.
shareThat's incredible!
shareIf they have to face a new Borg threat and in response decide to produce Simulants en masse as a defense strategy, they may need to rebuild Data to his past state in order to produce a leader that can control that Simulant army and influence it on a psychological level to avoid mistakes of the past.
