Any one feel a little bad for Christian when...

Dani is crying on his lap after finding out about her sister's murder-suicide?

I know that the scene is meant to show you how emotionally detached Christian is, and that he wasn't truly being there for Dani, but right before that scene and reveal, we knew he was checked out of that relationship and was likely to break up with her very soon, but then after that incredibly devastating reveal, and the way Christian looks while she is crying on his lap was just like, "I'm fucked... there's no way out, and I'm going to be stuck in this relationship for a good while longer."

I do get it, and understand why it's supposed to make Christian seem like a bad person, but that also would have been messed up if he broke up with her soon after that happened.

That didn't make him seem like a bad person. He was over it and rightfully so. What made him seem like a bad person was that he was going to do his thesis about the community and celebration, when his so-called friend was already doing so.

Oh I agree 100%.
I definitely felt bad for him. Getting burned alive and all.
Also, that clap and Christian's response to it was perfect.

I did feel sorry for him at that point. My sympathy for him pretty much ended at the party though. I'm not saying that I think that he deserved what he got, but he was so manipulative with both Dani, and then his friends. The empathy was really short lived.
