Who else likes Yolanda?

I think she’s great, a real Badass with a heart and a conscience—and that’s a hard combination for a mature adult to balance. It’s tougher for an adolescent living in a troubled home, with a controlling (rhymes with “punt,” “shunt” and “runt”) of a mother and an ex who manipulated her to send him topless selfies that he then cascaded to their entire school. That is pure and simple sadism. The ironic thing is that she could easily cut him SEVERAL new recta without breaking a sweat, but did not. I wanted to call attention to her because I think she is a real asset to this ensemble show. And the fact that she rocks that Wildcat suit like a tsunami doesn’t hurt, either.

Not for nothing, the more I see of Amy Smart and Luke Wilson on Stargirl, the more convinced I am that they are inspired casting. They are sweet without being cloying, loving without being saccharine, COURAGEOUS, and perhaps most impressive of all, willing to let themselves be vulnerable. They both have been in movies. They are not movie stars, but they are many cuts above your typical CW adult casting choices, and it shows. They remind me a lot of Jules’ parental saint of a father on Euphoria.

When did you ever think that you’d here a CW DC comic book show favorably compared to HBO’s Euphoria?
