This show is structured like a novel.

It just hit me, while I was thinking about the Murder Mystery Season 3: Stargirl is structured like a novel. Each episode is a chapter, and each season has its own “book” title. That’s so simple and clear that it’s inspired. It makes it so easy for the audience to follow. How many times have we all seen posts here—about a variety of series—complaining that “I don’t understand” and “why did s/he do that?”? Complication and obfuscation are easy to do. Any idiot can do that, which is why complication and confusion are so common. Stargirl gives us organized, bite-size weekly data that we can process and look confidently forward to the next chapter, feeling like we know where we are going.

Unless you can’t stay off your fucking phone while you are lying to yourself about “watching” the show.
