Is this going to be an all female Justice Society with the stepdad being the only male? Sure seems that way.. I wonder which one the girl with the doctor parents is going to be??

I keep trying to like it, but there's just too much that doesn't make sense. Ah well. I'll keep watching the pretty pictures for a while longer. . .hopefully it improves
shareWell we now know she's taken Dr. Mid-Nite's place. No secret there since Beth Chapel was Dr. Midnight II in the comics.. The part I'm troubled with is Pat & Courtney and the others are all concerned about Mike wanting to take part yet they encourage non-powered, untrained, and out of shape Beth to participate.
sharePlus Pat doesn't even tell Beth's parents that she is involved in these highly dangerous missions.. I kind of want something to happen to Beth just to see Pat have to explain this to her mom and dad.
shareI like the dark direction where you’re going about flabby Beth perhaps kicking the bucket, and I personally hate the woke bullshit (which, NOTE BENE, I do not see much of in this), but it seems that Beth is being presented as brains, not brawn. She’s a good complement to the team, and she still has time to embrace the joys of fitness. Her character is 16. I didn’t find fitness until I was 20.
I have a soft spot for this show, because even the antagonists (except for Eclipso, at least so far) have soft, human, family sides—which instantly distinguishes Stargirl from all other superhero TV shows, and the lead character is adorable, flawed, vulnerable and charismatic, and the casting rocks and the fights choreography goes beyond Arrow and Daredevil. I’m cutting this show slack.
