Fox News and the Murdochs were very opposed to Trump when he first ran in 2015. They even orchestrated Megyn Kelly trying to take him out with a gotcha question at the first Republican presidential debate.

By the time of this video the Murdochs had gotten on board with Trump because they had no choice but to, but Shepard Smith was going rouge and criticizing Trump as well as certain narratives that the network was pushing, leading to Smith's eventual departure in 2018.
