Of Gallipoli (1981) starring Mel Gibson. The movies are extremely similar. While I think 1917 is very good, it shouldn’t win Best Picture and it isn’t some original masterpiece people are making it out to be.

According to Wikipedia, at one point in that movie someone does deliver a message.

Pretty much the same movie, LOL.

1917 sure has brought out the trolls, but that seems to happen with every popular film.
