Very good, but
It shouldn’t win Best Picture. The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were both better movies. Also, Hacksaw Ridge is still the best war movie of the decade.

shareOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood was a terrible movie. Best Picture should go to Joker, but it won't because liberal Hollywood would implode. It'll likely go to this film, and as the Oscars have a habit of 'rewarding' well-established celebrities who haven't yet been recognised and are deemed 'worthy' of a nod, it's very likely Tarantino will get Best Director.
shareYou’re just an idiot. Saying Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a terrible is just plain wrong. You might not of liked it, but objectively saying it’s terrible is wrong. Also, Tarantino has zero chance at best director it will be Mendes or Bong-Joon Ho
shareSo your argument is that my subjective opinion is objectively wrong, and I'm therefore an idiot? As far as I'm concerned, it was a bad movie, despite some good performances. It was far too long, directionless, meaningless, unnecessarily slow, and seems to have been made as a love letter to a certain era of Hollywood, rather than to be a good movie. I get that it has a lot of praise from certain groups, but I don't know anyone who thought it was even close to good. Maybe it's a generational film? Still, makes my shortlist for one of the most overrated movies of all time.
Also, it's "might not HAVE liked it", not "might not OF liked it" - this particular error really irks me.
WHy not. "Birdman", which is the worst movie in history (ok, I exaggerate) won best picture.
And no I don't mean "Birdman of Alcatraz" ;-)
Birdman was a good movie. I wouldn't say it was Oscar-worthy, but then looking at the other nominees for that year it seems like a pretty weak crop. Still, I would have given it to Whiplash over Birdman.
