flop!
flop
shareDefinitely not a flop. I have no care or interest to see it (Tho, the King's 'you be back' is fun) but I work in Community theater and it's a favorite and since tickets were so expensive and inaccessible, many of them were never going to see the show live; at least not for a few more years. It's great that fans finally got to see some version of it while in quarantine. And even better; with the original cast. What I would give to have a filmed copy of Phantom of the Opera with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the roles. It's a same they were unable to put Hamilton in the theaters. I'd be interested to see how it would have sold.
shareImagine all the money the snooty elites in NYC wasted on tickets for this farce of a show. Ticket sales ranged between $165-$600. I could think of a lot more useful things they could have bought with that money than a ticket to "Ham-a-Ton."
