Keeps getting worse... inconsistent character
Obi-Wan in Revenge Of The Sith and in A New Hope would use his Force powers and lightsaber without any of this trauma-PTSD bs they are displaying here.
To me in this limited series he is being written inconsistently.
He used The Force without issue when arriving at Mos Eisley in Luke's speeder... also used the lightsaber to cut someone's arm off at the cantina.
The people producing this series are just WORKING, they are not Star Wars fans.
This Obi-Wan feels completely off when compared to the character George Lucas gave us.
He doesn't say any wise-Jedi-like phrases... we need better dialogue, more "Obi-Wan-esque", less generic.
It's been a while since I last saw Episodes 1 - 6, but I believe in the entire original movies Obi-Wan despises blasters and only fires one once during Revenge Of The Sith and throws it away saying: "so uncivilized". Since lightsabers are "an elegant weapon for a more civilized age", his weapon of choice... but on this series he's blasting everyone like he's a space pirate WTF.
He should have also used his Jedi mind tricks when interacting with the stormtroopers either on the transport vehicle or once they got to the checkpoint... instead he goes on with Baby Leia on a "comedic" charade... and also instead of using The Force he's rescued by a random unknown character instead of by himself (weak writing).
When Baby Leia asks him to say "Hello"... he just says "Hello"... should have said "Hello There" lol.
