is this good or bad?
can't decide
shareI'm a little more than half way through and I can't decide either, although I'm leaning toward not too good and I'm not sure I'll be able to watch the whole thing.
Update:
Well, I finished it, although I had to fast forward a lot as it wasn't holding my interest.
Except for the initial dance scenes, it was awful IMO. No story line, non-nonsensical, people walking around just screaming and crying and, unless I missed something, it doesn't explain who drugged them or why.
The final scene of the film, when Psyché (Ivana's girlfriend) goes to her room and drops acid into her eyes, implies that she was the one who spiked the sangria with a hallucinogen.
In the same scene, there is a shot showing books on hallucinogens in her bag.
All of the aforementioned contradicts the statement that Psyché makes about disliking drugs, in her audition tape, at the beginning of the film.
As to why she did it, that's up for interpretation, but my theory is that her experimenting and fascination with hallucinogens made her want to experience what it would be like if an entire party was hallucinating.
Much like why teens spike the punch with alcohol at high school dances.
Oh thank you for that explanation! I was wondering why it showed her putting the drops in her eyes and I didn't get that it was implying she was the one who spiked the punch. Needless to say I didn't notice the books in her bag either.
"I had to fast forward a lot"
I don’t understand how people expect to enjoy movies they don’t watch properly...
Indeed. Part of why the movie works is the way it accelerates towards the climax. Viewer even missed the heavy handed ending explanation where there was a book saying LSD in big letters.
