Who wants to bet the audience ratings will get brigaded by men that haven't even seen it?

I predict a large number of votes rating it 1 out of 10 in the opening weekend.

reply

100% certainty.

From the director of Dark Phoenix, I'm sure it's great 😁

reply

And writer of Catwoman... Oh, yes this has blockbuster written all over it - NOT.

You can say that again!

I feel certain that OP has already ranked it a 10 so that balances things out right? Shit and anti-matter shit destroy each other, right?

Besides, I hear that it is directed by the guy who did Dark Phoenix. Also directed by the guy who did Dark Phoenix so I'm sure its great.

reply

4.4 on imdb already. C'mon, how can you deny it now?

reply

I'm not denying that some asshats will vote this a 1 before seeing it. i'm accusing you of being the other kind of asshat that would vote it a 10 before seeing it.

it would be nice if the opposite camps of fanatics would cancel each other out. 4.4 sounds possible.

reply

Trying to cancel out unfair negative ratings is a good mission.

reply

Just as I thought. I'm sure they say the same about you.

reply

They can't because I didn't started it.

reply

Look who's "brigading" now.

reply

By giving it unfair positive ratings?

If a film is crap it is crap no matter who is in it but nice try on trying to make this a sexist thing.

By your original statement you say "audience ratings will get brigaded by men". Are you suggesting woman never downvote or find things negative or upvote as well. Very sexist of you to think so.

6 woman infact gave it a 1 out of 10. I guess they are not review brigading based on your statement of only men doing it.

You have to wonder who the sexist person is. You should probably look at yourself before blaming others.

reply

No, women do not rush to give a negative rating to something just because it's female-led.

reply

I saw the film, and it's pretty much everything an action film should be----fun, exciting, suspenseful, lots of explosions, and interesting characters who can kick a** wit the best of them. Penelope Cruz is kind of funny as the therapist who keeps telling the other three that she's not cut out for spy work. Definitely worth seeing if you like spy action films in general. People need to go actually see it because complaining about what they think it is dosen't mean jack unless you're seen it.

reply

What do you think of the movie Cut Throat Island? What about the last three Bond movies? I'd like to know your quality gauge. What are your top 2 favorite spy films and what do you think of Renny Harlan?

reply

I've never seen Cutthroat Island, even though I've always liked Geena Davis---liked her in The Long Goodnight---she was a badass in that one. Liked No Time To Die, which was excellent, especially since the female characters contributed a hell of a lot to the film and made it even better, And I also liked Casino Royale (a badass movie all by itself) and Skyfall. I somehow missed seeing Spectre, so I can't comment on that one. I like the spy genre in general, so it's hard to nail down a fave film sometimes, but I would have to say, in terms of '70s films, it would most definitely be Three Days of the Condor (1975) which was turned into a cable series called Condor, and just recently started its second season on FX, I think.

reply

It's The Long Kiss Goodnight actually.

Spectre was boring, absolutely the worst, even worse than Quantum of Solace. You didn't miss anything.

reply

2nd season of Condor actually came out a few years ago. Glad it is getting a fresh view though. Good show.

"especially since the female characters contributed a hell of a lot to the film and made it even better"

I see what your measure of quality is. Too bad. I was hoping this movie might somehow end up being good.

reply

It's a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes with 143 reviews. Did you think that maybe they're right for giving low scores?

reply

Maaaaaybe...
