Anyone else try the Gruyere grilled cheese?

I did, and she’s not wrong! I was skeptical at first because it’s kind of a hard cheese when you slice it. But when it melts it really gets gooey.

Try a Swiss cheese fondue. It's basically Gruyere with Emmentaler, wine and kirsch brandy. Very delicious, very runny.

I have had that before and you are right, it is good. But I like that the bread is grilled when you have a grilled cheese.

I concur. Gruyere has been my favourite cheese since briefly living in Switzerland. I wasn’t quite at elite liberal boarding school level lifestyle, but damn I could still afford me some gruyere

I haven't yet, but I will. It's one of my favorite cheeses, but I never thought of using it in a grilled cheese sandwich.

It is good, but I think smoked Gouda will always be my favorite for a grilled cheese.
