The Mandalorian is becoming a pushover

It seems like absolutely everyone is taking advantage of him this season. He gets lied to, conned, trapped, cornered and he needs to be saved over and over.

Where is the badass from season 1?

I'm not watching this show yet, don't spoil it for me!

I think you should watch Season 1 again. That's just the nature of his character, he gets in a lot of dicey situations and by skill, others and a lot of luck gets out of them.

You also have to take into consideration that he is protecting an infant which makes it that much more challenging and difficult when his attention is divided. In that last episode, he would not have been trapped or needed rescuing if he had not dove after the child.

reply

Yeah, but why did he follow the squid men in the first place? He's so gullible.

When a person is desperate they tend to be vulnerable.

The writers are probably utilizing aspects of the Lester Dent Master Fiction Plot: https://www.paper-dragon.com/1939/dent.htm
