Mando spends the whole season dodging and fighting off every bounty hunter in the galaxy, and yet who are the only ones who are successful in capturing Baby Yoda..... Scout Troopers. The most inept soldiers in the galaxy. And they were actually incredibly smart and competent in doing so. Not only did they intercept the radio transmission, but they understood what it meant and didn't hesitate to intercept Kuiil, kill him without harming Baby Yoda, scooped it up and rode back to town.

They gained possession of the child alive, and had it back to town, but were told not to enter the town. This allowed the Droid to catch up to them and retake it.

It is kind of ridiculous that they weren't allowed to bring Baby Yoda back into town considering how many soldiers they had, and that it could have been immediately put on a ship and flown off the planet.
