shareTrue - every 'based on true story' film seems to contain plenty of inaccuracies, but in this instance, they've really gone overboard, even by Hollywood standards. It's basically akin to a film where Hitler is portrayed as the good guy fighting the evil Americans/Russkies with 'based on true story' sticker.

I wish there would be an actual reporters and ask this question into the faces of director and actors. But there are no reporters in Hollywood. They are just woke propagandists.

shareI hear you, but what I find to be surreal is how lazy they are about doing any sort of research when pushing their narrative. The narrative they are going for is easy to push - Africa had white people come in, take black people as slaves - fought some tribes in the process. This did happen and it is easy to sell. But their fact checkers completely fucked up - or it may also be that whoever they hired to get the tribe names and time period right to fit the narrative openly sabotaged the whole thing, in which case I applaud that person - lol
