Can't wait.
I'm a big Guy Ritchie fan and I can't wait for this. I don't have to wait long because it comes out in January.

shareSome reviews out.

Yeah, I've been hearing it's slightly above average.
shareIf you guys are interested, here's a review I did for it-https://youtu.be/ItE9L7mT6_s
shareThat's pretty much the consensus of what other people are saying. It's decent but nothing great. Honestly it's what I expected anyway, but I'll still watch it.
shareI thought the trailers looked unimpressive but decided to take a chance on it last night. I thought it was surprisingly good.
The story is fun, the espionage elements work well, and the action is well-staged (though there were fewer set pieces than I expected). I'm surprised the critics didn't like it more. I would think that it's fun enough and well-made enough that even hardened critics would've enjoyed at least to the point they would give it positive review.
The cast is great. Jason Statham, Cary Elwes, Aubry Plaza, Hugh Grant and Josh Hartnett is a hell of a line-up. Plaza gets a chance to show off her comedic chops in ways that are actually funny, Grant's performance is chameleon-like, and Hartnett is surprisingly good as the clueless actor.
Overall I thought it was a solid, light-hearted action-comedy spy caper.
How was Josh Hartnett?
shareHe was good. He seemed to be having a lot of fun with his role and he did a good job. At the very end of the film he does an impression--I will say no more than that to not spoil it--and in those few moments he really showed off what a talented actor he actually is.
shareThank you!
shareI agree, he was good in this! Happy to se Josh Hartnett back.
shareI guess he's continued to act but the only thing I've seen him in over the past two decades, I think, is his brief role in Wrath of Man.
I know he was in Penny Dreadful but I never checked it out. That seems like an interesting show though, so perhaps at some point I'll make my way to it.
Critics never love Guy Ritchie movies. His highest rated film on RottenTomatoes is 75%. IMDb voters like him more though.
shareTo be fair, Ritchie has been hit-and-miss throughout his career.
For instance, Snatch was great and has become something of a modern classic, but King Arthur was a travesty and a film he absolutely should be embarrassed to have made. Then you have the movies that fall somewhere in the middle, like Sherlock Holmes.
