I Just Got Done Watching it

Like many reviewers, I don't think it was as good as the previous one. But I still had fun.

The jokes are there but I don't think the story is as good.

Agreed. Not as good as the first one but OK for a watch. Properly produced (and advertised) adventure comedy.

This movie could have been great. So many things worked, and they just abandoned them completely to 'reset' the characters, which killed the movie for me.

Things that worked:

Jack Black being Brick
Kevin Hart being Danny Glover
The Rock being Danny DeVito

Things that didn't work:
Jack Black being the girl again
The Rock being the nerd again
Kevin Hart being Brick again

It was 10x funnier during the first half. Second half was boring and super predictable. They didn't even realize the comedic possibilities of The Rock and Hart playing 2 old guys who had no idea what was going on.
