Episode 5. I give up

I gave it another try. But its just getting worse. Its getting ridiculous. And unrealistic. They chose a pattern where at the end of an episode accused takes stand on trial and gives some inspiring speech and everyone cries how beautiful it is and jurors or judge let accused go.

SPOILERS for episode

Here we had a plot: "When drag performer Kevin falls for a closeted guy secretly living a double life, their whirlwind affair leads to devastating consequences".

So in short Drag Kevin sleeps with closeted guy few times. Guy tells him his wife died in car accident. Kevin sees him on the street with woman and investigates. Kevin goes to store where wife works and has a chat talk with her. It appears guy lies and lives in unhappy marriage and cant come out. Guy found out Kevin talked to wife and is angry and yells at Kevin. Then apologize and they meet in public and Kevin tells him he should stop being afraid to be who he is. Wife sees them and confronts guy. Its end up with guy killing wife in rage. Then calls Kevin and lies that he told wife and she left him. They sit in a car and guy confesses and brings him to lake to help to dispose body. Kevin freaks out and runs.

So now there is a trial when court thinks Kevin was accomplice because guy says he is and his fingerprints are all over car. Guy confessed but want to bring Kevin with him. Probably mad at him. And no one believes Kevin. So Kevin has brilliant idea. He comes to court in drag, dressed as a woman. And gives jurors speech how this is who he is and the reason he is not the accomplice is because he was in drag that day also and he had very expensive fake nails and expensive women shoes. And if he would really go help to bury body then he would not dress up in such expensive cloth because its stupid... Yep, that was his defense. At his point I turned off because I couldnt stand this ridiculousness anymore. I’m sure that jurors cried and let him go.

Acting, casting, directing, style, pace - is good on this show. But writing is horrible. Its cringe. Its weak, its ridiculous. And I heard that episode 6 is as ridiculous. So I guess I have to quit, it will not get better.

Yeah, I made a similar post after the 2nd or 3rd episode. I thought the first episode was pretty decent but it went downhill fast after that. It's clear the writers just want to prove a point in each story and use lazy writing to convey that point by allowing the "victim" to make speeches at the end.

Here is a fun little fact. Go back through all the episodes and figure out who the "villain" is and what they all have in common

Oh, oh, oh, I think I know the answer to this mystery!! In Episode 9 Jack's Story, the villain is a White Male??!! Did I get it right??

HAHAHAHAHA

I haven't watched the episode yet, but I'd be willing to put money on it that you're right

HAHAHAHAHAHA SPOILER alert if anyone is watching this crap.

Just caught the episode and we got a double whammy of White antagonists this time. You could almost count his fiancee as a triple white antagonist as well. She just finds out that her man really didn't rape a you girl but still leaves him because she doesn't believe in abortion.

The writers may be genius as I actually can't wait to see how evil they will portray white people in the next show.
