This isn't Magnum in any sense of the original. Frankly it is closer to a weird mash up of Moonlighting and Hart to Hart. Frankly they should have given it a different title and not tried to pull in characters from the original the way they did because they could have made a reasonable throwaway Castle type show with the two leads, but have no real use for the other characters that they just pull in for random side stories that have no point. Biggest problem they have is all down to use of the original show name when it wasn't really necessary.
