This looked pretty good at first, but then it descended into full blown action hero territory. Magnum is just another Steve McGarrett. And the Higgins factor looks totally ridiculous. From a network standpoint, this is a perfect show to pair up with Hawaii Five O and MacGyver. It's gonna be a big hit.

shareI don't mind them making Higgins a stern younger woman with a little bit of sexual tension. That's fun. But now she's Kill Billin' the shit out of people too? Too much. If you're going to give Magnum a head strong foil, you gotta let her get in over her head like a proper damsel in distress so he can save her. Instead we'll be getting served a constant steaming load of cuckery.

I'm going to edge on the optimistic side for the moment. Let's see if the writers can understand their place in something as severe as Robin Masters' universe.
