“The actor playing the actor”?? Bro, are you kidding me? that’s Devon Sawa!! Final destination? Idle hands?
Sorry for my reaction. I like the dude a lot.
Just finished watching it. Here’s my review:
This movie was weird and I frickin’ enjoyed it! Ha! It was a bit hard to watch John Travolta trying to impersonate this strange dude dealing with mental issues and a bit like the character Moose was playing during his night gig on the boulevard, it was too much of a one trick poney, too unidimensional. We needed a bit more depth to make us truly feel for him but as it was, it managed to amount to a curious, funny and intriguing watch, to say the least. I mean, who am I kidding, have you looked at his hair, shirt and shorts?? Then there is the disappointment of me expecting the body count to be higher but there was only one death and it was a crappy one. One thing that I never liked in a death scene, if I may, is when someone get punched in the face and they bump their head on something while falling down, (in this case it was a bird fountain) and then they just die like that. One more thing, I’ve always been a fan (not fanatic, no fear!) of Devon Sawa and I always was sad he didn’t do more good movies. So here I was happy to see him in top form and I mean TOP form! Finally, I give this movie a positive rating because it left me kind of hoping for a sequel. I’d watched that 100%. My rating: 6/10
