Hereditary is a slickly produced movie with great music and cinematography but its still a grab bag of "best of..." bits from different, more original films.
I don't think it resembles any of those movies that closely. Any movie that takes on these sorts of subjects are bound to have a few things in common. Those films you mentioned also had a few points in common with each other, for example. I wouldn't consider any of them derivative of each other, though. I'd say the same about Hereditary.
IMO Hereditary set itself apart with how it approached these subjects. It was my favorite horror movie of the decade.
But the decade’s not finished, so how can you write that? 2020 is the final year of the current decade.
