So will I, in about 25 minutes ! Glad I saw this advertised earlier today.
shareYeah, it's pretty awesome that NatGeo decided to do this. Commercial-free, even!
Just a few minutes before we get to see this dude exercise his death wish.
I think chain smokers have more of a death wish and much less charisma than Alex.
Btw, it did not disappoint. It was a visually stunning experience.
You might be right about chain smokers.
And I agree, it did NOT disappoint. It was a great film and I can see why it won the Oscar, though I admit I have not seen any of its competitors.
I have seen so many movies at this point--both narrative and documentary--that it can be difficult to WOW me or really get me excited, but Free Solo is one of those films that reminds me of why I love movies in the first place. It's powerful and it captivated me from start to finish.
I agree with your opinions and share your enthusiasm for this film. It captured my imagination when it won the Oscar. I'm not one to buy and accumulate films but I would consider owning this one. I think it contains powerful life lessons and can alter a person's perceptions of life.
