Had to bail after 2 episodes of season 2

I enjoyed the space-related events in season 1, but thought there was too much soap-opera-ish "filler," I'll call it. Then in season 2, they ramped up the soap opera staff, and I was out of there.

IMO, this could have been a really good 20-25 segment series without the filler.

I think I bailed around then too. The show is hugely overrated and tremendously boring. It's a shame Kinnaman decided to do this, because he did some really great stuff up until then. I'll try to pretend he didn't for a while.

You might actually like the third and fourth seasons. You're still getting some of the soap opera stuff but a lot more space than the first couple of seasons.

reply

Agreed. Plus a crapload of politically correct filler.

Same here...

Excellent 1st season then it just all went downhill from there. Too much PC/woke nonsense and not enough space adventure. I don't mind a little drama but the selling point of this show is the space stuff. Shame really because I thought season one was brilliant. Reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Right Stuff (1983).
