Really sweet coming of age comedy drama Netflix series (spoilers)

Sure you got dirty jokes and sex but deep down it's a rather sweet coming of age comedy.Happy to hear it's getting a second season. Sure it's not perfect and one or two episodes dragged a bit for me but I'd give the first season a 8.

The three main leads are great and have great chemistry and are likeable, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric been a big show stealer. Gillian Anderson is fantastic as Otis's Mum. Side characters especially are a stand out, Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee is very funny as the popular girl but is Maeve's good friend. Connor Swindells as the bully Adam steals the early episode but his storyline about his father and sexuality goes down a more serious path in later episodes. Kedar Williams-Stirling as popular kid Jackson, turns the role on it's head also cool to see his parent's are same sex. Tanya Reynolds as nerdy Lily who just wants sex is rather sweet and tender.

I like that isn't afraid to deal with tough subjects like Maeve's Abortion. Also Maeve's and Otis Sex Therapy Clinic doesn't always have success, like the episode when the lesbian couple and you find out one of them only got with the other cause it was her friend and is cheating behind her back. You don't see the aftermath of it either. Also the show has a great soundtrack.

I hope the 2nd season isn't based around if Maeve and Otis will they won't they relationship. I want to see more of the side characters too. This show has potential to be one of Netflix's greatest shows imo. I hope 2nd season is at least at the level of 1st season.
