I hate this movie trope....Spoiler Warning

More and more I just hate the trope that when a victim gets the upper hand on their tormentor by knocking them out or hurting them, that the victim just doesnt finish them off by killing them or at least tying them up. Movie loses value to me when they do this numbskull thing.

Scream (1996), I think did it correctly. They used the trope, only to end up killing Ghostface shortly after.
