Why did he climb down to throw the walkie-talkie

His balcony was a little higher than hers. He was able to throw the baseball to her balcony just fine. But when it came to the walkie-talkie, instead of throwing it on her balcony like he did with the baseball (maybe wrapped in some socks to absorb the shock), he climbs down his balcony, to street level, to then throw the walkie talkie a few stories up to her balcony and then climb back up again. That's just stupid!

Also, the walkie-talkie would have run out of juice after a day or so max if they leave it on all the time.

Also, why didn't the dude do the chick he wacked that came into his bathroom? He'd been without a shag for at least 2 months. Crazy!

Edit: Oops!! Never mind. My question is about another movie from 2020 called "Alone". I hate it when they do that.
