while it is based on a true story also having a Black Lead is key I think it can do it

Top Gun had the star power of Cruise and it's legacy. Although I want to see this film I don't think it will get to the Maverick levels box office wise.

Diverse cast help Top Gun become a hit. This film is featuring a negro, surely this must help.

I very much doubt a diverse cast had anything to do with it. In fact the film succeeded in spite of it and the diverse cast were extras playing in the background. Cruise carried the film.

It is kind of funny that Glen Powell is also in this movie as well as Top Gun: Maverick. But considering this cost $90M I would be shocked if it broke even.

no. it wont come within fraction of top gun.

why?

no one care about korean war. no millennial care about ancient prop plane. they see top gun because of legacys and jets.

only people who watch this will be older nerd.
