It's year 2020, Hollywood is done for, and here are with 2 new films starring Mel Gibson (though he's only in the supporting cast here).

I haven't seen the second film (fatman), but if it's anything like this film, it should be a blast.

Anyways - about the film - great sfx/action sequences, quite few genuine laughs (I laughed way more here than with most pure comedy films that come out these days), pretty decent acting all around, but then you do have quite a few big names in this film. The plot actually proved to be quite interesting. When you have a film this good, you really don't need to put Mel Gibson's name as the lead, given that his on-screen time is quite limited - that's the only thing that disappointed me - deceptive marketing - Frank Grillo should be the first name on the list, Watts should be second, Gibson should be third.

I did - not that great. I'd skip it.

Completely agree. I commented while looking up decent movies, that actually finding a decent movie these days is like looking work work during covid-19. Painful, disappointing and miserable. This did a good job of landing me in a place I enjoyed.

Though the end .. I just wish.. you know, a little bit of a followup, but all in all, liked it. And also found myself laughing at his commentary and style throughout.

When I first heard gibson was in it, my mind was cast back to fatman... yeesh. not appalling, but certainly not good. so I was a bit hesitant. glad I gave it a go!
