This Apu situation is IRRELEVANT, The Simpsons has SUCKED now since S10
The old storylines and multiple plots for Simpsons S1-S9 were interesting and tight and FUNNY, but I lost interest around S10 and later, and while the animation and visual quality has "improved", the writing has NOT. Although, I would say that I like the old standard definition hand-drawn animation with no CGI.
S1-S9 was Simpsons' golden era, and its original, and anyone of my age (49) who says that the newer stuff is as good or even better (scoff) will be lambasted by me.
