C'mon, I can't take their relationship seriously as she looks young enough to be his daughter.

I have never seen the chemistry between them.

He's only 11 years older than her in real life. According to IMDB. Pretty impressive he was doing Serenity when he was 5 though. ;-)

Plus there is only a nine year age gap.
