the cousin is a pointless character
he is not funny at all
shareI actually found him the only part of he show I enjoyed. He certainly had the most interesting backstory and always provided lively dialog. In regard to this season only, sure, he's basically just playing the role of spellbook/history book. But i'm sure they're going somewhere with him.
