Starts cool but turns into a CW show

I like Cuoco (never saw a single BBT) and the rest of the cast as well. I especially enjoy the mental lapses in which she speaks with the dead guy. It is even touching how the guy was "the One" and it's effect on her. But by the time it gets to episode 3, it feels like a CW show. Then I did a little research and sure enough, it's a Greg Burlanti show. Probably his best but it has his standard fingerprints all over it. The good stuff is probably straight from the book.

6/10 I'll watch a few more in hopes of it staying above the tolerable water level.

More than half way through and it has dropped to a 3/10 for me. What few things I liked have changed.

Maybe Berlanti should drop all the action stuff and get back to projects like Brothers & Sisters.

whats a "CW show" ?

CW is a network of low quality shows. They get low ratings but high enough to continue. The DC shows are on CW as well as some vampire shit and other high-school-play style stuff.
All the actors are young and good looking. Nothing wrong with that but it is at the top of the list with the CW network. All other considerations of quality are much further down the list. The gay characters (obligatory), though sometimes OK characters, are always meta. Another hallmark of CW shows is that the drama is often unnatural and forced. VERY FORCED. Like they need two characters to have an argument and they can't think of an organic way for this to happen so the conflict comes out of nowhere and makes little sense. I think they might write their shows with broad notes on 2x3 cards and then let the details get taken care of by the director and actors. "OK, next scene you two have a fight and aren't friends any more. Aaaand ACTION" "Uuuummmm ... you .. you LIED to me! Yeah!"

This is hilarious.

sounds like the marvel method

Marvel has its problems but they aren't anywhere near as bad as the CW's problems. Are you a soldier in the DC/Marvel war?

Just finished watching it. I thought it was actually pretty good. Except for the last five minutes of the last episode. That didn't work at all.

CW is up for sale so their "Go Woke" policy has resulted in "Go Broke" as far as I can tell. Their shows are just full of propaganda. I haven't seen this show but it seems Cuoco has jumped into a new show a little too soon after BBT.
