Episode 7 felt rushed

Episode 7 felt a bit rushed, we did not see a confrontation, it only makes sense if you consider the blue ajah connection. Without reading the book, it does not make sense why Moraine would be allowed to come with Rand and Lanfear.

Lanfear is playing Ishamael
Rand is playing Lanfear (and taking a big leap to trust Moraine).
Morain is playing Siuan
Verin is playing Leane
Anvaere is playing Barthanes
Lan is playing Logain

There is just too much going on in one episode and we can only guess when and how they all agreed to the same plan, untying one plot twist after the other when it was barely set in motion in previous episodes does not feel very satisfying, there was never a sense of tension as to whether all of this plan would work because we lacked an initial scene where the plan would be revealed. The small clues we got were too little, especially with Moraine and Lan being in cold terms, Verin securing the map, Moraine arriving at the Tower at the same time as Lan bringing the drago, etc. It seriously felt like I missed an episode in the middle.

I also feel we lack some bonding between Moraine and Rand to explain why Rand went along with the plan. We lack bonding between Rand and Lanfear to explain how such a smart woman is being fooled, there was never a scene where his love was made believable. But above all we lack a good actor to play Rand who can make the double game more believable. At it seems the complexity of the relationship is barely enough to explain why Lanfear believes him. I just don't see their chemistry. Rand should feel more ambivalence and chemistry to make his connection to Lanfear more believable. I think his portrayal is very weak and it makes that weird alliance at the end of the episode bizarre. Neither acting nor writing make it believable. The fact that Rand played a double game with the Amylin should have been a bit more obvious for the viewer. I hope they swap the actor like they did with Matt. His level of acting is seriously like Tom Welling in Smallville.

Those seasons are too short, only 8 episodes doesn't give enough time for the plot to create tension. Episode 6 was great because it had a slower pace. The worst part is all of the main characters will now land in Falme in episode 8. It is always the issue with those shows, they only get the actors for a fixed set of episodes, and so they need to cram it all in. I would rather they swap actors in the middle but then have great writing that makes the plot believable.
